MOHAMMAD BANI FARIS APPOINTED AS GENERAL MANAGER OF SECURITAS JORDAN

KADDB Investment Group has the pleasure to announce the appointment of Major Gen. (rtd)  Mohammad Ali Suleiman Bani Faris, effective as of June 2nd, 2013, as the new General Manager/Country President for Securitas Africa and Middle East / Jordan, an affiliate of KADDB Investment Group (KIG) in partnership with Securitas of Sweden.

Mr. Mohammad Bani Faris is a Jordanian national, born in 1950. He holds a Master’s degree in Security Sciences from the Department of Criminal Justice at Nayef Arab University in Saudi Arabia and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language from Yarmouk University in Jordan.  He started his career in 1969 as a pilot Officer Cadet with the Royal Jordanian Air force where he was sent to the United Kingdome to pursue his flying training, but in 1971 he had to withdraw from flying and joined the Jordanian Public Security Directorate.

In the Jordanian Police, Mohammad Bani Faris progressed in his career until he was promoted to the rank of Major General. During his service with the Jordanian Police, Mr. Bani Faris held many senior posts including Director of Planning and Organization Department, Inspector General of the Public Security Directorate, Assistant Director of Public Security for Planning and Organization, Commandant of police college at Mu’ta University, Director of Amman Metropolitan Police (the largest police force in Jordan), and Director of Aqaba Police.

At the time of his retirement in December 2004, he was Deputy Director of the Public Security Directorate where he had the opportunity on several occasions to act as Acting Director of the Public Security Directorate of Jordan during the absence of the Director.

After retirement from the Jordanian Police, Mr. Bani Faris was employed at a D-2 grade by the United Nations in New York where he served during 2006 to 2010 as Director of Headquarters Security and Safety Services. Part of his responsibilities as Director was to direct, mange, and coordinate the work of the Division  and provide  policy direction, operational guidance, and overall technical supervision to the Security and Safety Services at ten of the United Nations Headquarters worldwide namely (New York, Geneva, Vienna, the Hague, Nairobi, Addis Ababa, Arusha/Tanzania,  Beirut, Bangkok , and Santiago /Chile ) which comprised 1400 security personal; and  to oversee the physical security for these premises, as well as to ensure  the personal security and Safety for the UN staff members at these locations. Working with the United Nations has enhanced Mohammad Bani Faris’s ability to work in a multinational environment and increased his exposure to international societies and subsequently to develop further his managerial skills.

Mr. Bani Faris holds several medals for meritorious and distinguished services with the Jordanian National Police.  He participated in many training courses, conferences and seminars both locally and internationally.

Mr. Bani Faris is married with five boys and two girls.

It is worth mentioning that Securitas Africa and Middle East / Jordan was established in 2011 to expand the security services in Jordan to international levels by getting the know-how and up to date technology from the Swedish partner, as it aims at providing security consultation services, training on safety and security and establishing such centres, supply and installation of devices and electronic programs for alarm systems pertaining to public and private institutions and foundations, establishment and operation of alarm systems’ monitoring centres, in addition to acting as commercial agents.
